Letting someone in to take blood asks a lot of trust. These are the things we do so you never have to take it on faith.
Every collector carries a dated Kamini Clinic & Labs card with their photograph and staff number, and shows it at the door unprompted.
Sample collection is done by phlebotomists trained on venepuncture, tube order and patient identification — the same staff who work our lab counter.
Needles, tubes and swabs are sealed and single-use. The seal is broken where you can see it, gloves go on fresh, and nothing is reused between patients.
Used needles go straight into a puncture-proof container and travel back to the lab for disposal. Nothing medical is left in your bin.
Elderly, bedridden and needle-anxious patients are routine for us. Ask for a female collector when you book and we will arrange one wherever possible.

Fasting means no food, tea, coffee, milk or juice. Plain water is fine and actually helps — a well-hydrated vein makes the draw quicker and easier.
Take your regular tablets as usual unless your doctor has told you otherwise, and tell the collector what you took that morning — it goes on the requisition.
An overnight fast that ends at 7 AM is comfortable. One that has to last until an afternoon slot rarely is — so we keep the 6–9 AM windows for fasting work.

Collection runs from 6 AM to 8 PM, seven days a week, including Sunday. Fasting tests are best booked in the 6–9 AM windows so an overnight fast ends at a sensible hour. The centre itself is open Mon–Sat 7 AM–9 PM and Sunday 7 AM–1 PM.
Five to ten minutes from doorbell to goodbye. The draw itself takes two to three minutes; the rest is identity check, opening the kit in front of you and labelling the tubes.

Blood and urine samples, yes — that covers almost all pathology, including every test in our packages. ECG, EEG, NCV/NCS, PFT and audiometry need equipment, so those take ten minutes at the Jagamara centre on a day that suits you.
Yes, and it is a large part of what home collection is for. Tell us when you book so the collector plans for extra time, and ask for a female collector if you would prefer one — we arrange that wherever possible.
We come back and draw again at no cost. A short or clotted sample is our problem to fix, not something you pay twice for — and we would rather repeat a collection than release a result we do not trust.
